Ce volume qui réunit les contributions d’historiens de la pédagogie et de l’histoire de la philologie de l’école américaine (Grafton, Blair) et allemande (Leonhardt, Campi) rassemble un matériau jusque là épars et donne une visibilité bienvenue à cet objet trop souvent négligé dans les études sur l’humanisme. On y trouvera notamment des éclairages sur les collèges allemands au début du xvie siècle, injustement méconnus.
